Dubai World Trade Centre has become an important international platform for the European Innovation Council and Europe’s startup ecosystem through global innovation events such as GITEX Global and Expand North Star. These international trade fairs provide EIC-backed startups and scaleups with access to investors, corporates, governments, and international markets across the Middle East, Africa, and Asia. DWTC supports the EIC’s mission of helping deep-tech companies scale globally by facilitating networking, investor matchmaking, and cross-border partnerships in sectors including AI, climate tech, cybersecurity, mobility, and other emerging technologies with strong international growth potential.
- Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB) / Singapore
The Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB) is a government agency under the Ministry of Trade & Industry, mandated to create sustainable economic growth and quality employment for Singapore. EDB oversees investment promotion across manufacturing and tradable services sectors, with its industries accounting for more than one-third of Singapore's annual GDP.
Operating 20 international offices in 14 countries, EDB connects EIC innovators with Singapore's world-class R&D infrastructure, global MNCs and Asia-Pacific investment networks.
- Toronto Business Development Centre (TBDC) / Canada
TBDC supports entrepreneurs looking to expand into North America through training, incubation, and strong connections to Canada’s investment and business ecosystem. Meet them to explore opportunities for growth in Ontario and beyond.
As a leading non-profit incubator, TBDC provides access to funding programmes, including Horizon Ontario, helping European innovators establish and scale their presence in Canada while strengthening transatlantic collaboration.
- KITA – Korea International Trade Association / South Korea
KITA is Korea's largest business organisation, founded in 1946 to bolster the Korean economy through global trade. It recently opened a dedicated Startup Branch at COEX in Seoul, providing entrepreneurs, venture capitalists and accelerators with a platform to network andscale globally. KITA's Global Startup Acceleration Department runs programmes connecting Korean and international startups with globalmarkets, investors and corporate partners.
For EIC innovators, KITA offers direct access to Korea's dynamic startup ecosystem and a 77,000-strong corporate network.
- The Japan stand welcomes two organisations:
5a. EU–Japan Centre for Industrial Cooperation / Japan
The EU‑Japan Centre for Industrial Cooperation strengthens industrial, technological and innovation cooperation between the European Union and Japan. Established in 1987 following an agreement between the European Commission and Japan’s METI, it serves as a core organisation for EU‑Japan industrial cooperation.
For over 35 years, the Centre has acted as a strategic bridge between both economies, promoting trade, investment and knowledge exchange. It supports European startups, large companies, SMEs, and research organisations seeking to collaborate with or expand in Japan through business support, matchmaking, missions, and executive training programmes.

5b. JETRO – Japan External Trade Organization / Japan
JETRO is Japan's government-related agency dedicated to promoting mutual trade and investment between Japan and the rest of the world. It assists Japanese companies in expanding overseas, attracts foreign direct investment into Japan, facilitates exports of agricultural, forestry and fishery products, and conducts market research and intelligence services.
With 74 overseas offices in 54 countries, JETRO provides EIC innovators with a direct gateway into Japan's advanced manufacturing, technology and corporate ecosystem.
