ASCEND Innovation Conference

The ASCEND Innovation Conference, held under the Danish Presidency of the Council of the European Union, will bring together leaders from policy, industry, research, and investment to accelerate and scale up deep-tech innovation across Europe.

Hosted by the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) in collaboration with the Danish Ministry of Higher Education and Science, the conference is supported by the European Innovation Council, the European Commission, and the Novo Nordisk Foundation.

Over two days, ASCEND will explore Europe’s innovation potential, focusing on three key levers for enabling deep-tech scaleups:

• Capital – creating stronger financing instruments to meet scale-up needs
• Infrastructure – ensuring access to industrial and technological facilities
• Policy Innovation – fostering regulatory sandboxes and flexible frameworks

The programme includes high-level plenary debates, sector-focused parallel sessions, and a pre-conference event at DTU Skylab on 24 November, highlighting Danish startup stories and innovation journeys.
