Nanordica Medica

  • Vision & Impact

Nanordica Medical's mission and vision: We improve wound management, reduce healthcare costs, and help hundreds of millions of people with wounds by developing innovative PREMOTIV® nanotechnology-based products that prevent infection and promote wound closure simultaneously.

  • Collaboration

This was a very smooth collaboration, and we received a lot of support from our Project Officer. With EIC support, we have conducted one of the largest clinical trials in diabetic foot ulcers, are approaching regulatory approval and were able to raise our first venture capital round.

  • What's next ?

We have received ISO 13485 certification and have submitted regulatory documentation for CE marking in the EU and FDA 510(k) approval in the US. Upon receiving these approvals, we plan to launch first in four key markets: Germany, the UK, the US and the Baltic States.

In health tech, clinical validation and regulatory approval create a well-known “valley of death,” where grants typically support early R&D while private investors tend to engage much later. For Nanordica Medical, EIC funding was essential in bridging this gap, validating our technology, and enabling our transition from research to commercial readiness. With EIC support, we have conducted one of the largest clinical trials in diabetic foot ulcers, are approaching regulatory approval and were able to raise our first venture capital round. This would have been very difficult to achieve otherwise.
