European Night at BIO 2025: Celebrating European Innovation on the global stage

On 17 June 2025, the European Innovation Council (EIC) together with other European delegations will host the European Night at BIO International Convention 2025 in Boston (US), an exclusive networking event focused on European cooperation and excellence. This invitation-only evening brings together key stakeholders during the BIO International Convention - the world’s largest gathering of industry leaders, innovators, investors, and executives focused on advancing healthcare and biotechnology. 

The evening will begin with a welcome reception hosted by Commissioner for Health and Food Safety, Olivér Várhelyi, followed by a programme led by Denisa Perrin, Head of Unit at the European Innovation Council (EIC) Accelerator. 

This edition of European Night highlights collaboration across Europe, organised by the European Commission, EuropaBio, and national biotech associations from the Czech Republic (Prague.bio), Germany (BIO Deutschland), and Switzerland (Swiss Biotech). 

Bridging the European and North American innovation ecosystems, the European Night serves as a platform to highlight European innovation and foster meaningful connections across continents, offering attendees: 

• Opportunities to network with industry leaders from Europe, the United States and beyond.
• Highlighting Europe’s growing biotech ecosystem and innovation power at BIO.
• Strengthening transatlantic relationships to support collaboration in healthcare and life sciences. 

A delegation of 15 EIC companies has been selected under the EIC International Trade Fairs Programme 3.0, to showcase their innovations during BIO 2025 and they will be waiting for you at the EIC Pavilion. Selected EIC-funded SMEs, startups and scaleups from EU Member States and Associated Countries have access to this Programme, that aims to support EIC beneficiaries in their commercialisation strategy in European and foreign markets.   

The EIC Pavilion at BIO 2025 will be a great showcase of the European innovation in the healthcare industry, hosting discussions and panels on the EIC funding opportunities, innovation and collaboration in healthcare, AI application and other new technologies driving biotech innovation, especially in oncology and integrated patient care. The EIC Pavilion will be located in booth 2653.
