Three new deep-tech experts join the EIC!

The Commission’s European Innovation Council (EIC) received 257 proposals for the September 2023 cut-off of EIC Transition calls.

The Commission adopted the amendment of the EIC work programme 2023 including two Coordination and Support Actions. Both calls for proposals will open on 16 August. 

The deadline for the last EIC Accelerator cut-off for full (Step 2) proposals this year has been changed from 4 October to 19 October 2023.

In the first quarter of 2023 the EIC Fund has become the biggest Venture Capital investor in European deals measured by amount invested, and third in number of deals.

Companies can once again submit short (Step 1) applications for European Innovation Council Accelerator funding, using a new IT platform developed for this purpose by the European Innovation Council and SMEs Executive Agency (EISMEA).

The EIC Accelerator cut-off closed on 21 June 2023 with 648 full proposals submitted.

Commission launched the EIC Scale Up 100 initiative. Its goal is to identify, promote, and support the growth of 100 promising Europe’s deep tech companies with the potential to become ‘unicorns’ (exceeding €1 billion valuation).
