Antonios Fysekidis has been working for more than 20 years in the field of support for research and innovation. Antonios started his career at General Secretariat for Research and Innovation (GSRI) in Greece where he managed the creation of the first wave of research-intensive spin-offs from the Greek ecosystem and in 2006, he moved at the Directorate General for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs of the European Commission where he worked for the setting-up and the steering of the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN). Then he worked at Innovate UK which is the UK innovation agency where he functioned as National Contact Point (NCP) and Business Support and European Liaison at the Innovate UK Brussels Office. Prior to his current post at the EIC he was a Knowledge Innovation Community (KIC) Project Officer at the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT). He is currently a member of the Pathfinder Unit of the European Innovation Council (EIC) that funds projects based on high-risk/high-gain science-towards-technology breakthrough interdisciplinary research. Antonios holds an MSc in Engineering Business Management from the University of Warwick, and he is a graduate of the National School of Public Administration in Greece.
