Marketing and Market Research and Business Management graduate, holding a master's degree from ESADE Business School and a General Management degree from IESE Business in Barcelona School.
David Comellas counts on 30 years of professional experience in the financial sector, business consultancy, and SME business management. As an ESADE Business Angels Network member, he has invested in many startups in industries like Medical Devices, Fintech, Blockchain, cleantech, and e-marketing.
He joined AEInnova in 2015 as the first investor in a pre-seed round. After six months of supporting the main founder in building the business plan and the company strategy, he took responsibility as the new CEO while he focused on technology and market development.
David is also a Mentor for startups in the Ship2B Foundation, which aims to boost Impact Economy by supporting startups focused on not only maximizing profitability but also improving their social and environmental impact.
Close to the General Aviation Sector, he’s also vice-president of the Aeroclub Barcelona-Sabadell and Barcelona Flight School, a Parc Aeronautic de Catalunya Foundation board member, and pilot.
