Overview

Description

We develop Photonic Integrated Circuits for ultra-high speed and reconfigurable fiber optic communications in datacenters, 5G, and high-performance computing networks. Our Photonic Circuit technology is the only solution enabling the integration of all the components needed in an optical communication: lasers, modulators, photodetectors and filters with embedded reconfigurability. This is made possible by bonding III-V semiconductor materials (accommodating high performance lasers) onto advanced silicon photonic circuits (accommodating all the other components and reconfigurability). Our solution leverages standard semiconductor fabrication processes available in commercial foundries, and seamlessly add III-V lasers at their backside. This enables us to supply sustainable performance and volume. As compared to the competition, we can deliver 4 times the speed in the same footprint and reduce the assembly steps by several tenths.
