Overview
The European Innovation Council (EIC), through its Corporate Partnership Programme, stimulates the collaboration between the innovative companies it funds and large firms. The goal is to drive European innovation and support structured partnerships and business deals between EIC startups, EIC scaleups and the largest corporations in Europe.
Developed by the EIC since 2017, the Corporate Partnership Programme has enabled EIC companies to expand their networks and engage with key decision-makers from top European firms.
From October 2017 to June 2023, the EIC organized 69 initiatives including the EIC Corporate Days, the EIC Multi Corporate Days, and Enhanced Cooperation Initiatives such as Planet.Tech and Energy4Planet. These initiatives have involved over 100 corporate partners like ABB, Airbus, BMW, CaixaBank, CommerzBank, Enel, Ferrovial, L’Oreal, Medtronic, Neste, Novo Nordisk, Roche, Saint-Gobain, Shell, Siemens Energy, Solvay or Telefonica, among others. More than 1,200 EIC-funded startups and scale-ups, along with over 2,500 high-level corporate representatives, have participated, leading to significant business impacts, follow-ups, and deals often within six months. The satisfaction rate among corporate representatives has reached 100%, proving the efficiency of the concept: bridging the gap between innovative SMEs and large companies can prove to be a vital strategy for business acceleration and growth.
