Dr Olivia McDermott is an Associate Professor in Regulatory Affairs and Operational Excellence at the University of Galway in Ireland. She is a course director of 5 post-graduate Medtech Regulatory Affairs programs. She previously worked for 12 years in Senior Management roles in the Manufacturing industry and as a consultant in Operational Excellence. She has co-authored over 100 papers in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings. She has a specific interest in Healthcare and Regulated industries (Medtech and Pharma) from a Regulatory, Quality and Manufacturing Operations perspective.
