Biography
Vice-rector for innovations at Riga Technical University
Liene Briede has been working in innovation ecosystem improvement processes for 20 years, managing several business support programs and promoting cooperation with the European Institute of Technology and their knowledge and innovation communities. The Science and Innovation Center of RTU was established by creating and developing a portfolio of innovation support projects and infrastructure, which works with innovation capacity building. In 2023, she joined the management team of RTU as vice-rector of innovation. Since 2021, she has been a board member of the European Innovation Council and a board member of the Latvian Startup Association.
