Considering the rapid growth of the innovation consultancy market, the EIC Board considers that it is important to ensure fair and transparent standards for consultancy services to EIC applicants. Following consultations with stakeholders, the Board has agreed a Code of Conduct which it has published in draft for any other parties to provide comments or feedback.
Due to time and/or knowledge constrains, many stakeholders seek the services of consultants to assist them with their proposals and applications, and when successful, with the management of the EU funded projects. The EIC Board considers that it is critical to advocate for transparency and to promote professionalism and ethical practices in the innovation consultancy market.
Having this in mind, the EIC Board proposes the adoption of a voluntarily Code of Conduct, aimed at establishing a set of minimum rules, which individual or corporate consultancies, offering services to support EIC applicants, commit to apply in relations to their clients.
Please send your feedback on the proposed Code of Conduct to: RTD-COC-EIC-BOARDec [dot] europa [dot] eu (RTD-COC-EIC-BOARD[at]ec[dot]europa[dot]eu) by 22 September 2023.
