EIC showcasing 10 pioneering solutions at the European Sustainable Energy Week

Join us at the biggest European conference dedicated to renewable energy and efficient energy use – the European Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) 2024

The European Innovation Council (EIC) is hosting two exciting sessions at the European Sustainable Energy Week, showcasing successful companies in their innovation journeys – represented at C-level.

One session focuses on pioneering renewable energy solutions, highlighting companies that are rapidly scaling up their operations. The other session dives into shaping energy efficiency, featuring brilliant minds transforming how we use energy. Both sessions will offer presentations, interactive Q&A sessions, and a chance to connect with the future of energy. EIC Programme Managers Francesco Matteucci and Marco Antonio Pantaleo will feature among the speakers, and Nuno Quental and Johannes Bunz will moderate the sessions.

  • C2C-NewCap (Portugal) is revolutionizing energy storage with next-generation supercapacitors for a carbon-neutral future.
  • Lixea (Sweden) tackles waste wood and agricultural waste, transforming them into sustainable chemicals and fuels using a patented technology.
  • Ligna Energy (Sweden) is manufacturing bio-based supercapacitors to enable the rising need for sustainable Internet of things (IoT) devices and accessible, affordable and clean energy to everyone.
  • Brite Solar (Greece) is changing the game in greenhouse horticulture and building construction with their semi-transparent solar photovoltaic technology, generating clean energy and saving on energy costs.

Here, you'll meet brilliant minds transforming various aspects of energy use, from superconductors for power systems to revolutionizing lighting in buildings and vertical farms, or recovery of waste heat and storage, or solid state cooling and industrial heat pumps to decarbonize hard to abate sectors.
