European Night: an exclusive networking business reception at BIO 2022

The European Innovation Council (EIC) along with EuropaBio, the Estonian Business and Innovation Agency, the Italian Trade Agency and the Switzerland Global Enterprise are ready to join forces to promote European excellences and cordially invite you to the European Night Reception under BIO 2022.

For the first time, high-level representatives from the European Commission – European Innovation Council, European National Pavilions are ready to join forces in a collaborative way to promote the European innovation excellence during BIO 2022, organising a high-level networking event to connect with business counterparts and innovation leaders.

The invitation-only business event brings together delegates from 10 European countries exhibiting at the world's largest gathering of leading professionals in the biotechnology industry in San Diego, CA, on 13-16 June 2022.

150 people, including high-level representatives and companies from different European countries – in particular, Austria, Belgium, Estonia, France, Germany, Italy, Lithuania, Spain, Switzerland, United Kingdom – will attend the event to connect and establish remarkable connections.

The agenda includes a panel discussion moderated by Ms Claire Skentelbery, Director General, EuropaBio (EU) with top European leaders as:

  • Cornelius Schmaltz, Head of Unit, European Innovation Council and SMEs Executive Agency (EISMEA), established by the European Commission (EU)
  • Andres Sutt, Minister of Entrepreneurship and Information Technology (EE)
  • Caroline Blaser, Head of the Swiss Business Hub based in New York (CH)
  • Alessandra Rainaldi, Trade Commissioner - ITA Los Angeles (IT)
  • John A. Murphy III, Chief Policy Officer, Deputy General Counsel, Healthcare at BIO (USA)
