Špela Stres is Slovenian. She is heading the Technology Transfer and Innovation Center at Jožef Stefan Institute. Passionate about making the innovation system more coherent and professional, she supported the creation of 11 companies, 2 proof of concept funds and several financing support mechanisms.
She is a former member of the 10-MG Group for Sustainable Development at the United Nations in New York and Vice President and Board Member of the European Association of Science and Technology Professionals. She is an invited lecturer at the University of Ljubljana with experience in business, support systems and research in instrumentation for medical imaging and accelerator physics.
