Stephan Hermann completed his studies of physics at Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg. In addition to obtaining his master's degree in applied physics there, he also earned a second master's degree in physics from Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh.
As Part of his dissertation, which he completed at the Chair of Energy Systems at TU Munich in 2018, he developed the idea for the new Reverion technology. Over the following years, while still working at TUM as head of specialist groups and departments, he assembled the team, who later became his Co-Founders, to develop a prototype. After the prototype proved successful, Reverion was founded in 2022 to scale the technology and bring it to market.
