Report
EIC Programme Managers Iordanis (Danos) Arzimanoglou (Programme Manager for Health and Biotechnology), Francesco Matteucci (Programme Manager for Materials for Energy and Environmental Sustainability) and Antonio Marco Pantaleo (Programme Manager for Energy Systems and Green Technologies) presented in two sessions the financial instruments that EIC offers to its beneficiaries, focussing on examples from the Greek scientific community.
They gave valuable insights into their individual understanding of the work and duties of Programme Managers to a broad audience composed of scientists, entrepreneurs and civil servants. The three Programme Managers explained which methodology they apply when they monitor and evaluate the progress and achievements of projects in their area of expertise, how they carry out project support for current and past EIC beneficiaries and how they set up challenges and goals for those to come.
The presentation of the Programme Managers was followed by a discussion that was chaired by Athena’s Head of Innovation and Technology Transfer, Christos Vaitsis, with Michael Dritsas, Greek Deputy Minister of Development and Investment in Research, Ioannis Emiris, President and General Director of AthenaRC, and scientists and investors from various countries.
