Andreea has over 11 years of experience in EU affairs. She is now a Member of the Task Force on Startups and Scaleups in the European Commission steering the preparation of the upcoming EU Startup and Scaleup Strategy.
Prior to this role, she was a Member of Cabinet of the Executive Vice-president Margrethe Vestager and a policy coordinator in the Recovery and Resilience Task Force of the Secretariat-General of the European Commission.
Before joining the European Commission, Andreea worked as a diplomat in EU affairs for the Permanent Representation of Romania to the European Union. As Chair of the Working Party on Financial Services during the Romanian Presidency of the Council of the EU in 2019, she represented the Council of the EU and led negotiations with the European Parliament and the European Commission on several legislative files in financial services.
Her policy-making experience is complemented by a strong research background, as she holds a PhD in Economics (Cybernetics and Statistics).
