Coati-X is CM4CURE’s EIC transition funded project, executed with FRESCI, to industrialise and de-risk a proprietary bioactive coating for catheters and blood-contacting implantable devices. The platform uses cross-linked nanogel multilayers as a drug-loading and controlled-release coating architecture, enabling combined antimicrobial and antithrombotic functionality in a single surface solution. Its strategic objective is to close the gap between promising coating science and deployable medtech innovation by advancing validation, regulatory positioning, and go-to-market readiness.
