Woodio Oy is a Finnish biomaterial and design company, established in 2015, offering an ecological alternative to ceramic bathroom products. Woodio manufactures washbasins, toilets, tiles, etc. from an innovative wood composite material that reduces CO2 footprint by 99% compared to ceramic products. Woodio's revolutionary material is the world’s first 100% waterproof wood composite that consists of wood chips and biobased resins. The company's mission is to change the traditional material norms used in bathrooms and kitchens into more ecological, thereby reducing global CO2 emissions from ceramic products by millions of tons annually. Woodio launched its first product (washbasin) to the Finnish market in 2018.
