Francesca has been a shareholder and managing partner at META Group since 1997. Since 2005, she has been overseeing investments in Italy, Poland, and Slovenia, focusing on early-stage deep-tech companies. With extensive experience in EU financial instruments, she has had the opportunity to collaborate with institutions such as the European Commission, World Bank, and the EIB.
Francesca has worked across multiple countries, including Italy, the UK, Tunisia, the Netherlands, Poland, Turkey, Slovenia, and Spain, investing in promising business ideas and committed entrepreneurs. As a board member of many of these companies, she continues to support them on their journey toward success.
As an angel investor, Francesca was a member of “Angels4Women,” now the largest female angel club in Italy. She is also honored to serve on the board of directors of the newly established DAEN, Defense Angels European Network.
Francesca graduated cum laude in Economics and Banking from Siena University and holds a master’s degree in International Business Communication.
In her free time, she enjoys skiing and sailing.
