Axiles Bionics, a spin-off from Vrije Universiteit Brussel founded in 2019, develops next-generation assistive technologies. Building on 15 years of research in robotics, AI, and biomechanics, our patented technology restores natural gait by adapting to user intention and compensating for lost muscle strength. We focus on advanced prosthetic feet for amputees, redefining mobility, freedom, and independence.
Vision & ImpactOur mission is to bring peace of mind and body through innovative prosthetics, AI, and outstanding services. As a center of excellence in human mobility, we strive to make next-generation technologies accessible to everyone and improve comfort, performance, and quality of life.
CollaborationOur experience with the European Innovation Council (EIC) has been positive. EIC funding accelerated our R&D and scaling, driving company growth. Their business acceleration services improved processes, increased visibility at international fairs, and supported our successful market expansion.
What's next ?Our immediate goal is to introduce our new product to the markets we have cultivated. Concurrently, we are committed to ongoing innovation and development of bionic devices, including bionic knees and complete bionic legs, to enhance quality of life and restore mobility for individuals.

"Thanks to EIC support, we've successfully developed a magnificent technology, combining AI, smart mechanics, and electronics for lower limb prostheses. This will allow us to bring this innovation to end-users, significantly improving their quality of life.
We don't just engineer devices; we forge a seamless integration of advanced hardware and intelligent software, empowering human potential and redefining the boundaries of mobility"
