Biography

EIC Programme Manager for  Mobility & Transport 

Mika Rytkönen is a Finnish business development executive with an extensive international experience in telecom, navigation, and mobility businesses including corporates (Nokia Corporation, HERE Technologies) and several startups.

He has served in various boards of directors such as ERTICO – ITS Europe, OECD ITF Corporate Partnership Board, EIT Urban Mobility and association of micro- and sole entrepreneurs in Finland. He is also a member of the association of Board Professionals in Finland. Previously, he has been a mentor in the EIC scaling club.

The way we live and move in cities in changing. We need new European based innovations to make the impact. Thus, Mika’s mission and ambition as EIC Programme Manager are clear: helping European start-ups to scale-up to develop and launch new innovations to the market. In that journey start-ups need mentoring and funding. EIC is well positioned to make it happen.

Mika holds three academical degrees, MSc on Information processing science (Uni of Oulu), MBA on financing (Helsinki School of Economics) and MSc on Cities (London School of Economics).
