INERATEC

  • Vision & Impact

IMPOWER2X reflects INERATEC’s vision of replacing fossil crude oil with modular Power-to-X plants producing sustainable e-Fuels and e-Chemicals. By scaling and standardizing the technology, the project accelerated the industrial transition toward defossilized energy systems.

  • Collaboration

The EIC provided crucial support at a pivotal time in 2022, enabling us to accelerate the scale-up of our technology. Beyond funding, the collaboration was highly productive, with continued support in networking and amplifying our voice even after the project concluded.

  • What's next ?

Following ERA ONE, the flagship outcome of IMPOWER2X, INERATEC is advancing toward larger-scale plants such as ERA TWO and ERA THREE. By ramping up production capacity, we aim to increase the availability of sustainable drop-in e-Fuels for hard-to-abate sectors like aviation and maritime.

IMPOWER2X was a decisive milestone for INERATEC. Without this support, we would not have been able to scale our technology at this speed and truly pioneer industrial Power-to-X production. ERA ONE proves that European innovation can move from concept to commercial scale. We are leading the Power-to-X space. Now we must accelerate the scale-up of European technology to secure industrial leadership and energy sovereignty.
