SpiNNcloud is a deeptech company based in Dresden, Germany, that commercialises the SpiNNcloud platform. This supercomputing solution is based on the SpiNNaker2 chip, which uses an extremely large number of low-power processors for efficiently computing AI and other workloads. Both the chip architecture and system design are inspired by the human brain’s principles – emphasising parallelism, energy efficiency, and real-time processing capability. The platform is scalable to supercomputer level and is available as a cloud solution, positioning itself as the first commercial brain-inspired HPC system that revolutionises traditional computing paradigms.
Vision & ImpactThe SpiNNcloud mission is to develop and deliver ultra-low-energy AI infrastructure that provides sustainable and accessible artificial intelligence solutions.
CollaborationSpiNNcloud’s collaboration with the EIC has boosted credibility and visibility, providing strong dissemination support and access to key events. This partnership amplifies reach and strengthens the impact of our innovative neuromorphic computing solutions.
What's next ?Their next-gen system SpiNNext aims to leverage dynamic sparsity within the mainstream AI domain.

The support of the European Innovation Council has been instrumental for SpiNNcloud. It enabled the company to transform deep-tech research into a commercially viable product, to scale faster without excessive dilution, and to establish SpiNNcloud as a European champion in energy-efficient AI computing. Thanks to the EIC, we are not only accelerating the deployment of our supercomputers worldwide, but also reinforcing Europe’s technological sovereignty in a field dominated by non-European players.
