Jussi is the Head of the EIC Division at the European Investment Bank (EIB), where he oversees the management of equity investments under the EIC Fund. Since joining the EIB in 2009, he has played a pivotal role in shaping the Bank’s innovation financing strategy, including the development of its venture debt product and other tailored solutions for high-growth companies.
Before establishing and expanding the EIC investment advisory practice at the EIB in 2020, Jussi led the Bank’s Growth Capital Unit, focusing on later-stage investments in cutting-edge technology companies. Beyond his tenure at the EIB, he brings extensive experience in venture and growth investing from financial advisory and a private investment fund.
Jussi holds both a graduate and a doctoral degree from the Turku School of Economics (TSE), where he also served as a Professor of Practice from 2018 to 2020. His deep expertise in venture finance, combined with his leadership in European innovation funding, positions him at the forefront of fostering high-impact investments in breakthrough technologies.
