Kat Borlongan  

Kat has spent the past decade working across Europe’s startup ecosystem, bridging entrepreneurship, investment and public policy. An entrepreneur at heart, she co-founded Five by Five (later acquired by Capgemini) and went on to become one of Europe’s first Chief Impact Officers at late-stage UX analytics startup Contentsquare. Alongside this, she has been active as an angel investor, including with Atomico.

She has since brought this founder’s perspective into government, leading the French Tech Mission under President Macron and helping deliver a national startup strategy credited with strengthening France’s tech ecosystem and global brand. She later served two consecutive terms on the Board of the European Innovation Council and continues on as an EIC Ambassador and contributor to Commissioner Zaharieva’s Startup and Scaleup Forum.

In recognition of her contributions to ecosystem building and public service, Kat was decorated a Knight of the French National Order of Merit, recognized as an Obama Leader and selected as one of UNESCO’s “50 Minds for the Next 50 Years.”
