Biography
Co-founder, Carbon Equity
Liza Rubinstein Malamud is a Co-founder and Chief Strategy & Climate Impact at Carbon Equity - a climate fund investment platform that enables private capital to invest in climate solutions. Carbon Equity currently offers four distinct strategies: VC&PE, Infrastructure, Co-Invest and an ELTIF for lower ticket investors. Founded five years ago, the platform currently has €425M under management from more than 1,500 investors. To date, Carbon Equity has invested in 30 climate funds including Lightrock, Altor, EIP and DCVC and helped fund 250+ companies.
At Carbon Equity, Liza leads the investment product strategy as well as the climate impact strategy of the platform. Liza also supports the development of climate investing standards in various international committees (Project Frame, GIIN) and speaks and publishes frequently on the energy transition. Prior to founding Carbon Equity, Liza worked as an energy transition consultant at McKinsey and as an impact investing researcher.
