Biography
President, Business Angels Europe & Director, META Group (ESIL project coordinator)
Luigi started out as a researcher, developing computational mechanics software for a spin-off of Imperial College in London, before initiating his entrepreneurial journey founding META Group in 1993.
As an angel investor, he was a co-founder of “Italian Angels for Growth” in 2007, today one of the largest angel clubs in Europe. He is Chairman Emeritus of Business Angels Europe and invests mainly in life science and creative companies combining expertise and passion.
The experience as a researcher, entrepreneur and investor, gives Luigi the possibility to navigate all stages of the “knowledge to market” journey and entrepreneurial life-cycle, something he always enjoyed and continue to explore.
Graduated Summa cum Laude in Engineering from the University of La Sapienza in Rome and holding Master of Science and a Diplome from Imperial College London
