Biography
Stefan Drüssler is Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer at UnternehmerTUM, Europe’s leading centre for innovation and business creation based in Munich and affiliated with the Technical University of Munich (TUM). In this role, he oversees the full entrepreneurial journey — from ideation and incubation to acceleration, scaling and investing — supporting over thousand startups every year. Since joining UnternehmerTUM in early 2017, he has played a central role in strengthening its operations, global partnerships, and long-term strategy.
Before joining UnternehmerTUM, Stefan Drüssler worked as a strategy consultant at the Boston Consulting Group (BCG), where he advised leading companies on transformation, growth and innovation strategies. This experience provided him with the analytical and organisational skills needed to lead complex innovation ecosystems and bridge the gap between academia, startups and established industries.
In his role as Managing Director at UnternehmerTUM, he co-leads a team of more than 500 employees with an annual budget larger than 50 million Euros. Stefan helps shape initiatives such as Rise Europe, a network uniting Europe’s leading ecosystem builders.
