European Innovation Council Summit

The new European Innovation Council, launched in March 2021, celebrated its first Summit on 24-25 November 2021.

This event offered a unique opportunity for European start-ups and innovators, in particular SMEs, researchers, corporates as well as potential investors and venture capitalists to connect and network.

Mariya Gabriel, the European Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth officially launched the EIC Forum and announced the winners of the EIC Women Innovators Prize and the iCapital Award.

he EIC Summit hosted three EIC Awards Ceremonies for the European Capital of Innovation Award, Women Innovators Award and the European Innovation Procurement Award.


Academics, businesses and policymakers discussed  broad list of topics from breakthrough technologies in the field of space technology, collaboration in the post COVID era, investing with impact to tips and advice on how to manoevre the world of innovation procurement.
