The path for EIC Pathfinder projects from lab to market can be difficult and full of new challenges to researchers. They include the need for the clarification of the innovations’ unique value proposition, identification of relevant future market segments, effective market strategies and selection of appropriate business models that will ultimately determine successful commercialisation (or not).
